Update: Home Prices Reflect Sammamish’s #1 Income Ranking, Point to the Need for More Reasonable Options

Last week we referenced a Seattle Times story about Sammamish’s #1 ranking as the city with highest median household income in the country. We noted that while it was an affirmation that the community is prosperous, it also highlighted some challenges, including the high price of housing and lack of affordable options, and the lack of retail and service options where that income can be spent.

King County Executive and Local Leaders Celebrate Sammamish Town Center Vision

“A great part of being County Executive is being able to work closely with our cities to build great and unique communities.  Sammamish developed a plan for an even stronger community, and I am here tonight to support the vision of a Town Center.”

With those introductory remarks, King County Executive Dow Constantine helped continue the festive mood established by Emcee John Curley and other speakers as about 120 people came together Sunday evening (9/15) to celebrate and demonstrate their support for the Sammamish Town Center project.
